Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Giurca Marius, originally from Sibiu, Romania. My professional background is as an ETO (Electro-Technical Officer). Over the past few years, I have been working as an ETO on a DP2 diving vessel equipped with Kongsberg systems.

Through this cover letter, I would like to express my interest in establishing a long-term professional relationship for the position of ETO. My experience in electrical operations started with bulk carriers and tanker vessels, and continuing to work on a DP2 vessel.

I am highly experienced in IT-related tasks, including networking, PC hardware troubleshooting, software management, and internet connectivity (Starlink and Orbit antennas, management switches) etc. Regarding the DP system, I have exclusively worked with Kongsberg. Recent challenges have made me very proficient in diagnosing the entire system at an advanced level, including Kongsberg RCU, RHUB, DP network feedback errors, software backups, taut wire overhauls, calibrated potentiometers, load cell amplifiers, Kongsberg HiPAP systems, and Cyscan unit overhauls, among others.

Additionally, I am familiar with the Wartsila engine management and control systems. On the PMS side, I have worked with the fully automated system from Converteam (now GE), including network stations with Wago units/ AMC computers.

I aspire to start a career as an ETO on offshore platforms or drill ships. In the past, I participated in two major projects (full overhauls of Top Drive TDS-11) while working on oil rigs as a solids control engineer.
